Governor Mills Introduces Phased Reopening Plan

Governor Mills has extended Maine's stay-at-home order with modifications to allow for activities and business operations deemed safe. The Order will extend through May 31, 2020 but is subject to change. Learn More.

In addition, Governor Mills presented her Administration's plan to gradually and safely restart Maine's economy through the establishment of four stages of reopening, the first of which begins May 1. Please refer to the State's booklet on restarting Maine's economy for more information. The State has also provided a COVID-19 Prevention Checklist - one of many guidance documents the State is preparing for businesses so they can be prepared to meet health guidelines and reopen safely.
