Maine Presidential Primary Election - Absentee Ballots

The Maine Presidential Primary (Democratic and Republican) and Special State Referendum will be held on March 3, 2020. Absentee ballots are available online (Click Here) or you may request one at the Bath City Clerk's Office (55 Front Street) any time before February 27. The City Clerk's Office is open Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. as well as Tuesday, February 18, from 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Polling will take place at Bath Middle School (6 Old Brunswick Rd, Bath) on March 3, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A few important reminders about a Primary Election:

  • Anyone currently enrolled in a party (D, R, or G) and wishing to change parties must do so at least 15 days before Election Day in order to participate in that party's Primary election.
  • New voters, and anyone currently Unenrolled (not enrolled in any political party, sometimes referred to as "independent" may enroll up to and one Election Day at the polling place and vote.
  • Only voters enrolled in a party will receive that party's primary candidate ballot. All voters, regardless of party enrollment, will receive the referendum ballot.
  • Voters may call 207-443-8332 or stop by the City Clerk's Office (55 Front St, Bath) to confirm their enrollment status in a political party.
