Maine Lifts Outdoor Masking Requirement

The State of Maine announced on April 27, 2021, that it is removing the requirement that people wear face coverings in outdoor settings.

The Maine CDC still recommends that people wear face coverings in outdoor settings where physical distancing is difficult, and face coverings are still required for indoor public settings. The change is effective immediately and relevant guidance documents will be updated in the coming days.
