Emergency Rental Assistance Program Applications Open March 1

MaineHousing and Maine Community Action Agencies will be working together to support rent relief for those impacted by the COVID pandemic.

Maine has $200 million in rent relief funds from the federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program; this program will provide rental and utility relief payments to help eligible renters maintain housing stability. Maine’s Community Action Agencies will review applications, check eligibility, and process payments for eligible expenses on behalf of households. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program will begin accepting applications on Monday, March 1 at 12 p.m. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through September 2021.
