Job Title: Custodian
Department: Parks, Recreation, Forestry & Cemeteries
The City of Bath Parks & Recreation Department is looking for a full-time, hardworking, dedicated, and motivated custodian, who is able to work independently for the Parks & Recreation Division. This person would perform a variety of skilled and minor semi-skilled tasks involving general maintenance and repairs of City buildings and grounds. The person is under the supervision of the Parks & Recreation Department Foreman.
Perform janitorial duties and maintenance of building and grounds, cleaning of interior and exterior of buildings, grounds care, outdoor athletic facility maintenance and snow removal.
Other areas of responsibility are maintaining inventory of materials and equipment required to ensure proper operation and cleanliness of facilities. Weekly and monthly checklists, responsible for building supervision after regular hours, i.e., classroom and gym rentals.
Must possess a valid Maine Driver’s License and pass a background check and pre-employment physical.
Typical schedule: Monday through Friday – 11:30am – 8:00 pm. Holiday and weekend duties may be required.
Pay Scale: $16.13 - $18.54 depending on experience
40 hour/week, non-exempt, non-union position
