MAY - JUNE

  • May Fair, a City-wide yard sale and downtown sales. Kids activities include sidewalk chalk art and maypole dancing

JULY - AUGUST

  • Annual Rotary Chicken Barbecue, the Bath Heritage Days kick-off.
  • Bath Heritage Days, downtown Bath. Three days of 4th of July celebrations and festivities, music, entertainment, food, etc.
  • Antique Auto Exhibition and Parade with the Bath Recreation Department. Last weekend of August.


SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER

  • 17 Rivers Striper Tournament, a month-long catch-and-release tournament that takes place on the rivers and shores from Eagle Island in Harpswell to Metinicus Island at Owl's Head. More at

  • Citizen Involvement Day, a chance for citizens and community service groups to connect. Citizen of the Year and other awards, music, food and activities.
  • AutumnFest, a fall family festival, held Colombus Day weekend.
  • Scarecrow making, window painting, a craft show, family activities and events


NOVEMBER - DECEMBER

  • Early Bird Sales, First Saturday in November
  • Sales in participating merchants stores in downtown Bath starting at 6 a.m. The earliest shoppers get the biggest discounts. Traditionally held the first day of deerhunting season.
  • December brings numerous celebrations for "An Old Fashioned Christmas in Bath":
  • Downtown Bath Christmas Celebrations, Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting at City Hall and Library Park, Christmas caroling and visits with Santa.
  • Festival of Trees, a beautiful display of specialized Christmas trees by area organizations.
  • Sing Its Christmas! Concert, at the Chocolate Church in Bath
  • Annual Christmas concert with Christmas caroling, Bath Municipal Band, audience participation.
