Starting May 22, Linden and Summer Streets, between Washington and Front Streets, will be converted into one-way streets for vehicle traffic.
The change was proposed to the City Council by the City’s Transportation Committee to increase available parking near the City’s downtown. Traffic will be limited to one way west on Linden Street from Front Street to Washington Street. Four-hour parking will be added on the south side of the street. Traffic will be limited to one way east on Summer Street from Washington Street to Front Street. Four-hour parking will be added to the north side of the street. In addition, a new section of two-hour parking will be added to the eastern side of Washington Street at the corner of Summer. The changes in traffic patterns will allow for an addition of 26 parking spaces in the area.
Questions regarding the changes can be directed to the Bath Police Department at (207) 443-5563.
