The City of Bath will soon be starting a project to repair existing sewer lines and manholes in the south end. The work will consist of inserting a new pipe into old pipes and spraying the interior of manholes with a concrete mixture. Map
Green Mountain Pipeline Services has been selected to be the general contractor and Wright-Pierce Engineers will be on site during the construction to monitor the contractor’s activities.
This work will begin on or about February 14 and last approximately one month. You should expect to see workers in the area. They will be opening manholes, video-inspecting sewer lines, cleaning sewer lines, inserting new pipes and sealing manholes from the inside. Some of this work will interrupt sewer service in the work area. If your property will be affected, the contractor will come to your home and/or leave a notice with more information. The interruptions may be up to several hours.
For more information, please plan to attend a public information meeting at the City Hall Auditorium on Tuesday, February 13 at 5:30 PM. If you have any questions about this project please call the Bath Public Works office at 443-8357.
