Downtown Bath is preparing for the upcoming holiday season and the City of Bath welcomes visitors to use convenient public parking for an enjoyable shopping experience.
Bath provides free, unmetered parking to all on-street users or in municipal lots for two hours or less, unless otherwise marked. Municipal lots are located on Water Street, Waterfront Park on Commercial Street and City Park on Summer Street.
During the weekends and after 6 p.m. on weekdays, visitors are allowed to park in permit lots located on Commercial, School and Water streets. Bath Savings Institution has also made its lot, also located on Water Street, available after business hours and on the weekend.
During weekdays, the CityBus provides inexpensive transportation to anyone within Bath to shopping locations throughout the City. The CityBus runs Monday-Friday from 8am to 5:30pm. There are two service regions in town: the north loop, serving areas north of Route 1 and the south loop, serving areas south of Route 1. Each ride on the regular service is $1 or frequent rider cards are available (12 rides for $10).
Bath‘s winter parking ban goes into effect on November 15. There is no overnight parking allowed city streets and lots during this time.
