During the months of September and October, the 12th Annual Community Forest Photography contest took place.This year’s contest hosted a generous number of entrants and entries, with the good proportion of entrants from surrounding communities.Fourteen adult entrants and seven student entrants submitted fifty-three photos to be judged!
The three top winners in the Adult category were: First Prize, repeat winner Mr. David Boyle, with “Moss Grows on the North Side of Getchell Street”; for Second Prize, Ms. Susan Seaman, with ‘Guardian of the Winnegance”; Ms. Tiffany M. Fuqua, with “Hangin' On”.The Judges awarded an Honorable mention to Ms. Anne Krebsbach with “Colors”.
The three top winners in the Student category were: First Prize, repeat winner Ms. Ellin Haie with "Fog"; for Second Prize, Mr. David Brann with “The Old Tree at the Cemetery”; and Ms. Michelle Campbell with “Up”.The Judges awarded an Honorable mention to Ms. Isabel Doran with “Cloud Bush”.
Hearty congratulations to all our winners and their wonderful efforts, which will be on display until the New Year in the Children’s Room at the Patten Free Library, and also to the rest of this year’s adult entrants: Eleanor McKinnon; Virginia Campbell; Lauri Andrews; Anne Page; Barbara Leeman; Candalene Sutherland; Lois Dole;Norma Puffer; Alice Rivero; Debra Wilkey; and Aili Amundsen: and this year’s student entrants: Sam Leeman; Arielle Leeman; and Hannah Leeman.
