Women, Work and Community
Women, Work, and Community is committed to improving the economic lives of Maine women and their families. We work with women "where they are" and provide them with support, guidance, and the tools they need to take the next steps toward a more promising future. We provide training, advocacy and assistance in four program areas:
Workforce development, including career planning, employment, retention and advancement in jobs that pay a living wage; and access to education and skills training;
Microenterprise development, including business plan development, start-up support and coaching, access to credit through a micro-loan fund, and linkages to on-going technical assistance;
Asset development through a matched saving program, car and computer donations, and training in money management;
Leadership development, including a curriculum that explores the workings of the local economy, women's roles in building community, and opportunities to practice leadership; a legislative awareness day, conferences, and outdoor adventure challenges.

Greater Bath Elder Outreach Network
Catholic Charities of Maine provides free services geared towards enhancing the quality of life of the elderly in Sagadahoc County through companionship and visiting, transportation to appointments, help with forms and correspondence, and help with errands and grocery shopping. Bath Clothing Exchange
The clothing exchange is located at the Corliss St. Baptist Church on the corner of Middle and Weeks Streets. Open Tuesdays 6:00-8:00pm Clothes are free.They accept clothes in good clean condition, and people may visit two times each month. For more information call 750-3193.
